Handling large sheet metal plates has historically presented significant challenges in industrial environments. Traditional methods, relying on hooks, chains, or cables, often lead to various issues: the sheets tend to flex, deform, or even suffer permanent damage due to uneven load distribution. This not only compromises the integrity of the material but also creates an unstable and potentially dangerous situation for personnel.
The EPT-ST/TT Series Electropermanent Sheet Metal Handling System with Telescopic Traverse revolutionizes this process. Designed for optimal safety and efficiency, this advanced system ensures that large, heavy sheet metal plates are carried equally from above, completely eliminating the risk of deformation or damage to the load. Furthermore, it streamlines the entire handling operation, allowing a single operator to manage the process remotely, significantly reducing the need for additional manpower and enhancing overall operational safety.
The core of the EPT-ST/TT Series lies in its innovative electropermanent magnetic technology. Unlike traditional electromagnets which require continuous power to maintain magnetism, electropermanent magnets only consume energy during the brief magnetization (MAG) and demagnetization (DEMAG) cycles.
When a short electrical pulse is applied, the system becomes powerfully magnetized, securely gripping the sheet metal. Once this pulse is cut off, the magnetism persists indefinitely without any further power consumption, ensuring the load remains firmly held even during a power outage – a critical safety advantage. To release the material, another short electrical pulse is applied, instantly neutralizing the magnetic field. This reliable MAG-DEMAG cycle guarantees precise control over lifting and releasing operations.
The system’s adaptability is further enhanced by its robust telescopic movement, powered by a specialized hydraulic pump. This mechanism allows the traverse arms to extend or retract smoothly, accommodating a wide range of sheet metal lengths. This dynamic adjustability is crucial for maintaining optimal load balance and preventing flex or deformation, especially when handling exceptionally long plates.
The EPT-ST/TT Series is engineered with a suite of features designed to enhance safety, efficiency, and operational flexibility in demanding industrial environments.
Our EPT-ST/TT Series Electropermanent Conveying Systems are proudly manufactured in our state-of-the-art Izmir Factory in Turkey, adhering to the highest quality standards. Each system carries the distinguished Mıknatıs R&D brand, a testament to our commitment to innovation and engineering excellence. We stand behind our products with a comprehensive company guarantee, complemented by robust technical service available both during and after the warranty period.
Recognizing that unique industrial needs often require specialized solutions, we also offer custom production capabilities. For specific requirements, inquiries, or to discuss how the EPT-ST/TT Series can integrate into your operations, we invite you to contact our dedicated technical team.
The Industrial Magnetic Pickup Tool with Telescopic Handle is a highly durable, extendable safety and retrieval tool used by MRO (Maintenance) teams. Equipped with a high-strength Neodymium magnet at the tip, it allows technicians to retrieve heavy bolts, dropped tools, and sharp steel swarf from deep, inaccessible, or hazardous factory areas.
They are indispensable for CNC machine operators (retrieving dropped parts inside oily machine beds), heavy equipment mechanics (fishing bolts out of deep engine bays), and factory electricians working in tight conduit trenches or elevated cable trays.
Unlike cheap consumer versions, our B2B industrial models utilize extreme-grade Rare-Earth Neodymium. Despite being the size of a coin, the magnetic tip can generate 5 kg (10 lbs) to 15 kg (30 lbs) of direct pull force, easily snatching heavy wrenches or large steel gears out of deep oil vats.
The heavy-duty stainless-steel telescopic shaft collapses down to a compact size (e.g., 200mm) for easy storage in a toolbelt, and extends rigidly out to 800mm or even 1000mm. The shaft is engineered to remain stiff and not bend when lifting a heavy steel object at full extension.
To prevent the magnet from violently grabbing the sides of a steel CNC enclosure while you are trying to reach the bottom, our premium industrial models feature a shielded magnetic head. A non-magnetic aluminum or brass collar focuses the magnetic field strictly forward, allowing you to slide it down a steel pipe without it getting stuck to the walls.
Absolutely. The entire telescopic shaft is made of rust-proof stainless steel, and the Neodymium tip is heavily plated (Ni-Cu-Ni) and sealed with industrial epoxy. It can be completely submerged in hot engine oil, aggressive coolants, or water without degrading.
Yes. We supply high-volume B2B orders for corporate Lean/5S tool cribs and maintenance departments. We offer robust packaging, custom laser-engraved corporate branding, and heavy-duty models equipped with integrated LED lights for illuminating dark factory crevices during retrieval.
